Sponsored by a host of organizations including Fairfield County DU, Pheasants Forever, and the ODNR, 600-700 kids were expected to attend. Even on a rainy day in April an estimated 500 still came out to participate in many outdoor activities including skeet shooting, archery, and all types of hunting and fishing stations. For the second year in a row the Ohio Waterfowl Association was present. This year the OWA helped sponsor the event and donated monies to assist waterfowl artist Dick Benson in a decoy painting and waterfowl education station where 100 + kids learned about ducks and participated in age-bracketed contests to paint the best drake mallard head. The OWA also had pictures and info on display and signed up around 20 kids for our second annual Youth Dove Hunt.
